Position Title: GBV Mobile Team Leader
Duty Station: Jowhar villages, Middle shabelle region
Duration: 12 Months
Reports to: GBV officer

Position Summary
The GBV Mobile Team Leader will oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response activities in target communities. The role ensures survivor-centered service delivery, effective team management, and strong collaboration with partners and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the GBV Mobile Team, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to protection principles.
- Coordinate case management, psychosocial support, and referral pathways for GBV survivors.
- Organize and facilitate community awareness sessions on GBV prevention, rights, and available services.
- Strengthen collaboration with GBV staff, other health, WASH, FSL and nutrition partners to improve response and reduce GBV risks.
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and confidentiality of GBV cases.
- Conduct regular monitoring and provide updates on trends, challenges, and gaps.
- Build capacity of team members and community focal points on GBV prevention and response.
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Social Work, Psychology, Gender Studies, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in GBV programming, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GBV case management, referral systems, and community engagement.
- Experience working in humanitarian disaster or displacement settings preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in both Somali and English required.
