Job Description
YouthLink seeks qualified candidates for the following positions to support its emergency El Niño response, funded under the FCDO Somalia IRF project, through mobile clinic outreach to IDP camps in Daynile District. The expected start date is 9th October 2026.
POSITIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Health Facility Supervisor – 1 post Oversee daily services, staff deployment, clinical quality, referrals, supplies and reporting. Provide supportive supervision and ensure compliance with approved protocols.
2. Qualified Nurse (OPD, ANC/PNC/OTP) – 5 posts Provide outpatient, antenatal and postnatal care; screen for malnutrition, manage eligible OTP cases and arrange referrals. Maintain accurate clinical records.
3. Auxiliary Nurse (Pharmacy and IYCF) – 3 posts Support dispensing of authorised prescriptions under clinical supervision, maintain stock records and provide infant and young child feeding (IYCF) counselling within training and competence.
4. Protection Assistant – 1 post
Provide case management, psychosocial support and
counselling to SGBV survivors; conduct community
sensitisation sessions; and facilitate referrals and support
groups in close collaboration with the health and nutrition
team.
Health Facility Supervisor
Recognised qualification in nursing or a related clinical discipline, with relevant clinical and supervisory experience in health and nutrition services.
Qualified Nurse (OPD, ANC/PNC/OTP) Recognised nursing diploma or degree, applicable professional registration and at least two years of relevant experience, including OPD, ANC/PNC and OTP.
Auxiliary Nurse (Pharmacy and IYCF)
Recognised auxiliary nursing qualification, with relevant experience in supervised pharmacy support and training in IYCF counselling.
Protection Assistant
Recognised qualification in psychology, social work, counselling or a related discipline, combined with practical experience in counselling and psychosocial support. Applications from candidates with experience in humanitarian settings are strongly encouraged.
COMMON REQUIREMENTS

Fluency in Somali, a working knowledge of English, accurate documentation skills and the ability to work in a team. Willingness to travel to IDP camps. Humanitarian experience is desirable.
