Position Summary
The GBV Center Manager provides overall leadership, operational coordination, and management of the GBV One-Stop Center. The primary goal is to ensure the delivery of high-quality, survivor-centered services, maintain effective supervision of technical staff, and foster strong coordination with humanitarian partners, cluster focal points, and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Center Management: Oversee daily operations of the GBV One-Stop Center, ensuring seamless integration of clinical, psychosocial, legal, and referral services.
- Staff Supervision: Manage and mentor center staff, including nurses, case workers, psychosocial counselors, and community outreach teams.
- Quality & Standards: Enforce adherence to core GBV guiding principles—specifically confidentiality, safety, dignity, and non-discrimination. Monitor service delivery and address gaps in survivor care.
- Coordination & Referral Systems: Strengthen referral pathways with local health facilities, protection actors, and law enforcement. Lead active coordination with local authorities, cluster focal points, and humanitarian partners.
- Community Engagement: Facilitate community awareness and outreach initiatives focused on GBV prevention and response.
- Reporting: Prepare case summaries, donor updates, and regular progress reports on center activities.
Key Deliverables
- Activity Reports: Timely submission of comprehensive monthly and quarterly GBV center reports.
- Referral Directory: A fully functional, updated, and maintained referral pathway directory.
- Performance Reviews: regular staff supervision records and performance evaluations.
- Outreach Documentation: Detailed records of community engagement and awareness sessions.
- Compliance Reporting: High-quality donor and cluster reporting inputs submitted within established deadlines.
Qualifications & Required Experience
Education & Experience
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Gender Studies, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of4–5years in GBV programming, including at least 2 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Deep technical knowledge of GBV case management, referral pathways, and survivor-centered care approaches.
- Proven capability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams (medical, psychosocial, and outreach).
- Strong background in reporting, donor compliance, and proposal inputs.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and strategic problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder negotiation skills.
Languages
- Fluency: Professional proficiency in both Somali and English (written and spoken).
