Job Purpose Lead the implementation of the Protection–GBV project in Jowhar’s rural communities through the operationalization of a One-Stop Center and deployment of mobile teams across targeted areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee GBV project activities within logical frameworks, budgets, and timelines, updating work plans monthly and deploying mobile teams.
- Technical & Capacity Support: Develop GBV tools, IEC materials, and psychosocial support (PSS) activities while providing internal training and technical guidance to staff.
- Case Management & Supervision: Lead complex case review meetings, supervise One-Stop Center and mobile team operations using survivor-centered approaches, and manage team performance.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Analyze GBV data, prepare daily, weekly, and monthly narrative reports for the Executive Director, and contribute technical inputs to proposals.
- Coordination & Advocacy: Represent SCC in GBV/protection coordination forums in Jowhar and Hirshabelle, build awareness on GBV/PSEA reporting channels, and liaise with local stakeholders.
- Compliance: Enforce and adhere to SCC PSEA principles, safeguarding policies, and donor requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Gender Studies, Psychology, Public Health, Law, or a related field (advanced training in GBV case management or protection is an asset).
- Experience: Minimum3–5years in GBV programming, protection, or humanitarian work, including experience with displaced populations/IDPs and international GBV standards (IASC, PSEA, Sphere).
- Technical Skills: Competence in referral pathways, data collection, safeguarding confidential information, and multi-sectoral coordination (Health, Legal, WASH, FSL, Nutrition).
- Core Competencies: Survivor-centered approach, strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure.
- Languages: Fluency in Somali with a strong working knowledge of English.
