About Smart Home Builders
Smart Home Builders designs and builds private villas, luxury houses and modern apartments for families, landlords and developers in Mogadishu and across Somalia. Every project is delivered with engineering oversight, a clear construction schedule and phase-by-phase inspection.
The role
You will make our brand look premium everywhere it appears, from social posts and brochures to project videos and client presentations.
Responsibilities
• Design social media posts, ads, brochures, banners, billboards, project sheets and company profiles.
• Edit short and long videos: site progress, project showcases, walkthroughs, reels and testimonials.
• Add motion graphics, captions, music and subtitles (Somali and English).
• Keep every design consistent with the Smart Home Builders brand and logo.
• Prepare print-ready files and work with printers.
• Deliver on time to the content calendar.
Requirements
• Diploma or degree in graphic design, multimedia or a related field, or equivalent proven experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in graphic design and video editing.
• Strong in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro (After Effects is a plus), or Canva, CapCut and DaVinci Resolve.
• A portfolio or showreel with design work and edited videos (required).
• Good sense of layout, colour and typography, and the ability to work from a brief.
• Comfortable working under deadlines.
Advantage: Experience in construction, real estate or interior design content, and basic photography or drone footage.
Selection process
• Practical test: Design one social post and edit a 30-second reel from supplied clips.
• Interview focus: Brand consistency, speed, and handling feedback.
