Hiring Somali speakers
If you are looking for Somali translators, interpreters or language-data contributors, you have probably found that the usual channels return very little. This page says what we see, what we can help with, and what we are not yet able to offer.
Why Somali is hard to source
Somali is a low-resource language. There are few formal training routes outside the Horn, the speakers you need are spread across a dozen diaspora countries, and most general job boards return nothing usable for the term. The people exist. The channels to reach them do not.
What we do
We track the Somali-language market across vendor hiring boards and national aggregators, publish the roles that genuinely ask for Somali, and keep a directory of the interpreting registers that recruit Somali speakers on an ongoing basis. Every listing is checked before it appears.
What we cannot do yet
We do not keep a database of individuals, so we cannot hand you a list of candidates. That is a deliberate choice: it would mean holding people's contact details, accreditation and work eligibility across several countries, and we are not prepared to do that until we can do it properly. We are also new, and we will not quote you an audience figure we cannot stand behind.

Talk to us
Tell us what you are trying to fill and where. If we can point you at a vendor or a register that already does it, we will, even when that means sending you somewhere other than here. If you want your own roles in front of this audience as it grows, say so and we will explain what that looks like honestly.
